Chelsi's Homecoming!
Chelsi has returned from the Alpine German Speaking Mission and I am so happy to have her back home! She did not get to report in the old Unity ward because they are doing some extensive remodeling. Mom and Dad now meet at the LDS church on 16th st. Unity building should be completed next summer. Nonetheless, Chelsi did a beautiful job and it was fun celebrating with family that weekend. I am grateful to have her back home. Chelsi is a positive person and always kind and thoughtful. Now we are saving a $$ to fund a trip to Germany. Michael and Chelsi wish very much to go back and visit. It is fun having another German speaker in the family!
They are using part of the baseball field to make additional parking.
The gym is now going to be overflow to the new chapel that is being added to the West of the gym. They are also taking out the upper primary, and lower young women's room and bathroom so that the building is wheelchair accessible. The old chapel will turn into classrooms. I am excited for the finished product next summer!

North End Zone: BSU vs BYU
Dad felt a little torn between BSU and BYU at the game, since he studied at BYU in his younger days :). He wasn't alone. In the bleachers in front of us we saw a mixed BYU/BSU family. The girls even sewed half of an orange BSU shirt to a gray BYU shirt. The game wasn't much to watch with the score being 0-0 at the half. It didn't pick up much from there with the end game score of 7-6.
We sat in the North end zone. It was fun watching the kids get super excited to catch the football after the warm up field goal kicks.
Boise was really smokey today. Just look at the sky in this picture of Michael and Me.
Boise State runs out the clock. Game over. Boise State Wins.
So glad Mom and Dad could come and take us to the game. It was a lot different then sitting in the student section. Next time bring ear plugs... because we were right in front of the speakers.

Orlando Florida Vacation
We spent a week in Florida with my family for Christmas in 2010 and somehow, I never blogged about it. But just recently Michael surprised me with the most awesome gift. He made me a picture book of our trip to Disney World through Shutterfly.com. I couldn't believe it!
Disney World is Huge and there are so many places to visit that it took us 2 days at Epcot, 1 day at Disney's Animal Kingdom, 1 day at Magic Kingdom, and 1 day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We also spent one day at Universal Studios and saw "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter." Disney World is great fun! It was super decorated for Christmas, which I loved. We had a coupon for a free book on shutterfly and I had totally forgotten about it. I guess it was about to expire so Michael beat the deadline and created this awesome picture book for me. What a sweet guy!

Happy Harvest
I have really been excited about canning and eating from our garden this year. We (Mom, Dad, Julio, and I) all helped out in the garden this year and it was our best yet. We grew peas, beans, pumpkins, turnips, basil, radishes, carrots, squash, corn, red potatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce... and I am probably missing several others. I love eating fresh tomatoes and other fruit from Mom's yard. Her pears did really well this year as did her raspberries, currents, and strawberries. I had to take a picture to remember our beautiful garden.
Dad helped me pick corn from Pat and Darrell's house. We picked 5 bags or so. Then we came home husked it, washed it, and prepared it for the freezer. Dad helped me with it all! I was so glad to have been able to spend the morning and early afternoon working with my Dad in the kitchen and that Pat and Darrell had plenty of corn to spare!

Amy's Party
Amy's 29! Last year before the big 30! So we celebrated with cake and good food. Aside from her birthday gifts and flowers, Mom, Dad, and I helped grade some English grammar papers for school. It took forever!

Kendra's 6!
Our cute little niece Kendra turned 6! She started kindergarten this year and
is growing up so fast. I was so glad we were able to come and celebrate with her. We camped out with the Garners and partied all weekend.
Michael knows how much Kendra loves fireworks, so that is what we got her for her birthday. Nothing like chasing after parachute men in the sky.
Cammy made the cutest personal sized piƱatas as party favors. They were black or red and filled with yummy chocolate treats.
Megan's birthday is only 4 days from Kendra's so she is always crashing the party and we had a little joint party for them both.
We had a fun time playing with the party blowers and with our nieces. We had a camp out in the backyard so Kendra could try out "tent" camping since she has only gone camping in her trailer.
Saturday we spent our time shooting Kendra's Bow and arrow, playing barbies, and then Kendra kicked our trash at Mario Cart. What a fun weekend. Happy Birthday Girly. Glad we got to spend it with you.
